Candid and indepth discussions with Professor Miriam Were, Chairman of the National Aids Control
Council, were centered around African Restoration's commitment to initiate an action, later in 2009, for the defeat of AIDS similar to that of
Malaria.
African Restoration submitted a proposal entitle "Project Taught" relating to AIDS prevention by faith based action in response to a open
request for by NACC. This project proposes to reduce the number of new infections through teaching abstinence and character formation of
youth while promoting awareness, faith based motivation and family responsiblity.
Project Taught, "a measurable difference," is to catalog information regarding currently existing faith based programs into a matrix for comparative
study. Also, Project Taught proposes to design and test a model baith based action program into a scientific data base management system
adaptable to the illiterate as well as computer sophisticated.
